Ajay Gami is the Chief Commercial Officer of Lummus Technology, where he oversees the company’s global sales, business development and portfolio expansion. He is responsible for driving commercial strategy, growing revenue and leading the global sales organization. Ajay also manages strategic investments, partnerships and acquisitions.

In his current role and in his previous role as Lummus’ Chief Development Officer, Ajay has helped grow the company’s technology portfolio to more than 160 technologies. He has been instrumental in several key acquisitions that added water treatment including PFAS destruction, plastics recycling, bio polymer, digital solutions and other new technologies, strategically positioning Lummus to lead the energy transition and digital transformation of our industry.

With nearly three decades of experience at Lummus (1990–2018, rejoining in 2022), Ajay has held numerous technical and commercial leadership roles. Prior to his return to Lummus, he served as a Director and Board Member at INEOS U.S. Chemicals Co., where he was responsible for corporate strategy, commercial growth, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions.

Ajay holds a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University, a Master of Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Baroda. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and an inventor with three U.S. patents.
