As Lummus’ Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Ujjal Mukherjee drives cross-company initiatives to enhance and grow Lummus’ existing portfolio and champion the company’s technology to strategic customers. He also leads the development of technology solutions that position Lummus at the forefront of the energy transition, digitalization, and innovation. Ujjal also serves as a Lummus Fellow, a distinguished role in which he helps lead the company’s knowledge transfer and technical development efforts in core innovation areas.

Previously, Ujjal served as Vice President and Managing Director of Chevron Lummus Global. Since joining Lummus in 1990, he has developed deep expertise in clean fuels, petrochemicals, and emerging technologies. He has 49 issued U.S. patents, and several of his innovations have been successfully commercialized worldwide.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India, a master’s degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from ENSPM in France, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
