Since 1970, Lummus Technology has been awarded more than 300 gas plant projects, including over 200 turbo-expander plants with our patented Randall Gas process technology and proprietary know-how, providing in excess of 26 BSCFD of gas processing capacity worldwide with capacities ranging from 10 to 1,200 MMSCFD. 

With our broad technology profile, we offer reliable and energy-efficient solutions across the entire natural gas value chain. Many of the innovations we have developed, including plate-fin exchangers and packed cryogenic columns, remain as standard industry designs.

High Ethane Extraction & LPG Recovery

Lummus Technology has pioneered technical developments and design innovations that contributed to establishing the cryogenic turbo-expander process as the technology of choice for deep ethane and LPG recovery from natural gas. 

Gas Conditioning & Treating / CO2 Removal / Recovery

Lummus Technology’s Randall Gas natural gas processing technologies include extensive gas conditioning and treating capabilities, including the removal of mercury, CO2 and H2S from gas streams. We also have extensive experience and know-how for CO2 enhanced oil recovery and CO2 recovery from flue gas. 

LNG Liquefaction / Feed Gas Pretreatment

Lummus Technology has developed proprietary liquefaction and feed gas pretreatment technologies. We have patented designs for mid-size, floating natural gas liquefaction systems and feed gas pretreatment for the removal of potential freeze components such as benzene, toluene, xylene and other aromatic cyclic compounds.

Nitrogen Rejection / Helium Recovery

Lummus Technology has extensive experience and capabilities in nitrogen rejection from natural gas streams. We have provided the conceptual design and basic engineering for feed rates 25 to 450 MMSCFD.
